Labour Economics is the study of the market for labour. It studies how households (workers), firms (employers), and the government interact on the market for labour services and how this interaction determines for example wages and employment. The course addresses topics of labour supply and labour demand, theories and practice of wage determination as well as measurement and analyses of un-employment, labour mobility, labor market discrimination, and the role of government and unions in labour markets.
