This programme explores the fascinating world of nanoscale materials. You will obtain specialist knowledge to learn both the fundamentals of and the latest developments in materials science and nanotechnology. You will study synthesis, characterisation and applications. Courses contain a mixture of lectures, experimental lab work, computer simulations, and project work. In the second year, you can dedicate the entire second year to a larger project. The Materials Science programme is conducted in close collaboration with prominent research groups, with extensive international and industrial connections. After graduation, you will have excellent opportunities to work as an R&D manager/engineer, production engineer, or materials characterisation engineer. Naturally, you will also be qualified for PhD studies.
